This blog has been six chaotic months in the making. It’s been a long, long, long time coming but I'm here now, fully focused and pouring my heart into something I truly believe will become nothing short of ethereal. 

I'll start by listing some of my credentials. So listen closely - there’s a lot to know about Mimi herself… 

I work as a high fashion, editorial model—have been for two, going on three years. I’ve worked for publications such as Harper's Bazaar, Numéro, The Gentlewoman... the list goes on.

I've been to over 70 model castings, where the experiences speak for themselves. From watching a celebrity model wipe out at a Burberry casting (S/S 2024, no less) to being told my 31-inch hips were “too big” for the runway for a high fashion designer (HELLO? Can I eat?), I've seen it all. It’s brutal out here, and I’m ready to share it all. Think the worst, and I’ll probably go worse than that.

At the start of this year I spent 3 months spontaneously living in Tokyo, Japan as a full time fashion model, where I've got stories for years to tell - including the dreaded model boys the fashion world doesn’t speak too much about. 

On top of all that modelling business, I also have a passion for journalism (if you couldn't tell), as well as fashion buying. Starting in September, I’ll be studying Fashion Buying & Merchandising.

So far I've interned for Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and Free People. I can’t wait to gain more internship opportunities starting when i study in September!

Now don’t judge too fast divas because this is only the beginning, think Vogue in 1981 (before it first got published), I'm not holding back. I’m dreaming big, and I hope the people reading this are equally big dreamers. You’ve got to remember: it’s only a dream until it’s reality.

So the main idea is to share 3 main categories of post… 

News - sharing up and coming news in the fashion industry, from Anna Wintour stepping down (so mad i missed blogging about that), to the hottest new model on the block (would be nice if that was me) 

Trends - Finding out what the predicted new trends are, from leopard print, to tassels, tinted sunglasses to leather. I’m here to share whether it is chic or weak, hot or not, classy or trashy! (please don’t hate me if you disagree eek)

And last but not least… Lifestyle - All about me, my favourite topic. Not just about me, that’s boring for you guys! I’ll be sharing all the unheard details about the modelling industry: what it’s really like on set for major brands, the standards and normality no one talks about. From internships to cover shoots, I’ll be filling you all in. So be there or be square.

My goal for this blog is to create something so unique and niche that my readers can feel really special, as if you are part of a super secret exclusive club! 

Starting smaller and growing big because it’s always been my belief that it’s best to just start. You can make it amazing after. So I'm speaking that into existence and making withlove,mimi my next major project.

I want to create a niche group of readers who share an equal passion for all things fashion related. 

If all that isn't enough to convince you I'm going to provide interesting, unique hottakes from a firsthand industry perspective.. I don’t know what will. 

I hereby promise to give only the best fashion advice and opinions, sharing up to date fashion news. Posting weekly (or biweekly if I'm feeling cheeky) blogs to give you the most reliable, honest fashion insight - from a source you know you can trust.
